Amy & Dan

The photo journey of Amy and Dan as misfits is one I love and have seen repeated with other misfits.  First comes the classic vintage ladies photographs, then the couples/engagement, then the wedding.  I LOVE when this happens!  Amy had an added bonus of becoming Miss January in the 2012 Ambitious Misfit Calendar, as the fan favorite, to which Amy credits Dan as being a "Stage Dad" and rallying for votes.  As if it wasn't enough, Dan rallied again this past fall and with their friends votes won his beautiful bride another fan favorite (Miss May 2013).  That's some love.  I asked Amy if she was nervous about the wedding, "I'm more nervous about the calendar contest and stage dad."  There is no shortage of humor being around these two.

A few from the their Engagement Photographs

"Do you like cookies?" We had to do something silly.

Their wedding was set for October 20th and would be the first of 3 October weddings in 10 days, yikes! I was ready though! Myself and my photo-partner (and husband), Jon, headed to the Crowne Plaza in Ventura to capture all the anticipation of the bride and groom getting ready.  Jon with Dan and the boys, myself with Amy and her family/friends.  The couple decided to forgo the "first look" shoot and keep it classic with the groom prohibited from seeing the bride until she was walking down the isle.

Yay! Congratulations!

A Hollywood style exit, no paparazzi.

They had an intimate reception of family and a couple close friends, but I want to end on these cute photos from the beach.  Amy's mom found this little fun banner, so we had to get a few photos with it.  As with all sets, I don't post everything because I want to keep the full story special and private.  However, I would like to share the slide show.
